Quiet measurement.

The portfolio measures enough to understand whether the work is reaching people, without building profiles of the people viewing it.

01

What is measured

The site records aggregate daily unique estimates, visits, page views, country, traffic source, session shape, broad device context, performance ratings, errors, and actions such as opening or completing a photography series. A visit is counted at most once per browser session. For new visits, country may be paired with device, browser, or operating system in aggregate; cells below five sessions are hidden or combined into a larger Other group, and earlier visits are not reconstructed.

02

How daily uniques work

At the site edge, the current IP address and a coarse browser family are transformed with a secret keyed hash that changes each UTC day. The raw address and user agent are never saved, and the temporary deduplication token is removed after the day closes.

03

What is not collected

Analytics does not set a cookie or store a persistent visitor ID, fingerprint, exact city, postal code, coordinates, full referrer path, arbitrary query values, error URL, stack trace, or raw session duration. It cannot recognize a returning visitor across days.

04

Your browser signals

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable telemetry. Known bots, the signed-in Studio owner’s activity, and all Studio and owner-management routes are excluded. If browser session storage is unavailable, the site does not create a replacement session identity.

05

Retention

Studio keeps detailed daily aggregates for 400 days and permanent monthly totals for long-term growth. The monthly archive covers visits, page views, summed daily reach estimates, country, acquisition, broad device context, content actions, and conversions; it does not contain a visitor identifier. Temporary daily deduplication tokens still expire after the day closes. Daily uniques estimate browsers, not people, and range or yearly reach totals sum those one-day estimates.

Infrastructure

Necessary site delivery

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may set a short-lived bot-management cookie named __cf_bm to protect and deliver the site. It is infrastructure, not an analytics cookie, and mishaplee.com does not read it to recognize returning visitors.
